How to backup?
Click on the backup card view from the main screen and then select your desired location where you want to store the backup file. After selecting, click on the Backup All SMS button.
A dialogue box will appear related to the temperoray default handler which will seek your permission to set SMS Backup and Restore as temporary default handler. And then after setting SMS Backup and Restore as default SMS App a reconfirmation dialog will appear press “OKAY”. Your process of backing up sms will be started.
How to restore?
Click on the restore card view from the main screen and then select the location where you have stored your backfile. After that click on your backfile and then bottom sheet dialog will appear select the option restore. On one click your all sms will be restored. After restoring the SMS, you can set your previous Messaging app as the default app.

Permission Requests
To provide you with the functionality for which our App is designed, we may request the following permissions:
Read/Write SMS
Grant premission of reading for taking backup and write permission for restoring SMSinto your phone.

Default App Handler
We seek your permission to set our App as a temporary default handler for SMS read and write. After performing a restore operation you can set your previous messaging app as default handler.

Location and Wifi
In case you want to share the backup file in another device, enable location permission for searching nearby places and wifi permission for sharing files via wifi direct.
Storage
In order to save the backup files in your device, we need the permission of storage.

Core Functionality: Every app that performs essential functions like backup, restore, and delete SMS, must be set as your temporary default handler. During that time it's possible that you won't be able to send/receive SMS. Therefore, upon completing the restoration of your messages, set your previous app as the default messaging app.
