The story
Professor Layton – a famous archaeologist, a talented detective with the ability to solve mysteries. One day, a strange letter was sent to the house of Professor Layton. The sender of that letter was his assistant, Luke, but Luke of 10 years later. In the letter, Luke described the turmoil of the future London and himself was in a predicament.

At first, Professor thought this was a naughty joke of Luke and did not pay much attention to it. However, the letter reminded him of the terrible event that happened last week. It was the launch of mankind’s first timeless machine. This event attracted many important figures from the country to attend. The explosion had devastating consequences and even, some people mysteriously disappeared, including Prime Minister Bill Hawks.
There is no doubt that the events that happened last week are related to a letter from 10 years later. To clear things up, Professor Layton and Luke began to move to the locations mentioned in the letter. From here, the journey to find a solution to the biggest mysterious event they have ever encountered officially begins.
Gameplay
Layton: Unwound Future in HD is built with gameplay similar to the previous two versions in the series. The game mainly focuses on a series of standalone brainteaser-style puzzles. Simply understand, you will move from scene to scene, chat with the characters, touch the stylus to explore the surroundings. To get a puzzle, simply hit the start of dialogue or get anywhere with coins. Some areas need to be pressed repeatedly to get the puzzle as well as reveal a few secret hints.

The puzzles in the Professor Layton series become famous for their diversity. There are over 200 puzzles including word puzzles, logic puzzles, space puzzles, … are waiting for you.

What’s new in the third part?
Unwound Future in HD offers players a few new additions which include three minigames. The first game has a picture book. You will have to collect the stickers and objects required by the system to fill in the gaps in the story.
In the second game, you will have to navigate a parrot and help it complete courses and get a B or higher mark.
The last game will provide you with a toy car and your task is to solve the race-based puzzles. They seem quite complicated, but completing each level in the game, you will a lot of rewards.

And from what I’ve experienced, the last game is the most challenging. There are some puzzles that are very difficult, causing you to use your thinking more while lacking suggestions. The second game is very entertaining and fun. But the first game was a bit dull, making me feel like the developer didn’t give it much attention.
Besides the minigames, Layton: Unwound Future in HD has added several new options in each puzzle. If you encounter a difficult challenge, even using help and still cannot think of a solution, this is the solution for you, because you only need to spend 2 gold coins to unlock a superpower. Making gold coins is also not difficult, you can collect each time you see them by running into the scene with the stylus.
Graphics
The setting in Layton: Unwound Future in HD is beautifully designed with stunning HD images, but still suitable for playing on mobile devices. It’s not too heavy, so it can run easily on low-end Android devices.

— The Story —
After solving a multitude of curious conundrums, renowned archeologist Professor Layton receives a rather peculiar letter.

The sender of this letter is none other than his assistant Luke...but from 10 years in the future! "Future Luke" has found himself in quite a predicament. The London he knows and loves has been thrown into absolute chaos.

Initially thinking that Luke may have simply been pulling his leg with a harmless jest, the professor cannot help but recall the terrible events that occurred the previous week...

The start of which was an unveiling ceremony of mankind's first time machine, attended by many prominent figures from throughout the nation.

During a demonstration, the time machine went out of control and engulfed the audience in a terrible explosion.

Several of the attendees mysteriously vanished into thin air, including Prime Minister Bill Hawks.

Unable to shake the feeling that the time machine's explosion may somehow be connected, Professor Layton and Luke set off to the location mentioned in the letter, a clock shop on Midland Road in Baldwin, embarking on what might be the biggest mystery they have ever encountered.
